Oil refining
Vacuum system of crude oil column - atmospheric and vacuum distillation, solvent dewaxing, other vacuum distillation column, flare gas energy recovery.
Crude oil tower vacuum system: a primary steam jet pump is usually installed in front of a large liquid-ring vacuum pump, followed by two parallel liquid-ring compressors. The gas from the compressor enters the H2S degasser (ammonia reaction) and is then burned as fuel in a heating furnace.
Solvent dewaxing: The solvent dewaxing process involves cooling the wax and condensing it into wax, then filtering it and cleaning it with solvent. Keeping vacuum in the vacuum drum filter makes it possible for large flow of wax oil through the filter screen under the action of external pressure. Nitrogen usually enters and is pumped out of the filter as a protective gas. The filter oil and nitrogen enter the receiver and the oil is separated; Nitrogen enters the vacuum pump through a drum. The dewaxing cycle is thus continuously performed.
 
Other vacuum distillation column - vacuum pump plus steam jet pump
The mixed vacuum system of vacuum pump and steam jet pump is provided for the vacuum system of crude oil distillation column, but it does not mean that this technology is only used in this situation. In the past, many vacuum systems all used steam jet pump. It is a good choice to replace with mixed vacuum system. The replacement results in energy saving.
Energy recovery of vent gas: Non-condensate gas from the crude oil vacuum tower has value as fuel and lighting products. Also accord with environmental protection requirement. Liquid ring compressors have a good and reliable operating record in this respect. Moisture and solvent vapour in the steam are not hazardous to them and they allow for the carrying of particles. Advantages: similar energy consumption, stable operation.
 
Water ring vacuum pump applications - explosive gas compression
As a typical compression device for explosive dangerous gases, the compressor system can cool acetylene and saturate it with seal liquid-water. An explosion test has been carried out purposefully in front and back of the liquid ring compressor. The test shows that the compressor can effectively play the role of flame elimination device.
